Top effort by Cadel! After many years of being accused of never finishing, he has really developed a killer blow and times his finishes very well now.

Despite not landing a GT, he has to be recognised as a very talented rider and probably the best Australia has produced (with maybe only Robbie coming close).

Well done to BMC as well. As much as I like to see Evans get results, it means little when it comes to the Tour, as Schleck always seems to post ordinary results but peak when it well and truely counts. He was dropped early again, but as much as the Cadels win means nothing in terms of his Tour prospects, it is the same for Andy being dropped. Amazing and interesting to see the contrasts..

Awesome once again!

Class win by Evans. Fighting off all those attacks then hold back a little and then strikes and takes the win. Very impressive. Evans delivers BMCs first win of the year. I must say BMC with Ballan and Hincapie have been looking very good this Tirreno.
It has to be said when they do good as well :D We love to tell ACF when they fail, but this time good work.

Don't forget Greg van Averment (sp) either!

How dare you call ACF not a person.

Now that was harsh :D

i am so confused by cadel's interprative dance routines/victory salutes
He looks like he doesn't know what to do when he wins.

If you see the evidence you can see that there's a gap of several bike lengths between Garzelli and Gesink at least.

Also, it's more of a general principle. Look at that photo and tell me Gesink finished in the same group as Evans.
Exact same thing happened in Fleche Wallone

He's like you, with sleep.
Seems like only 5 minutes ago since you went to bed!

I took a nanna nap during the day so I could watch the stage and still get up the next morning.

memorable moments of Stage 6

barn yard said:
do you think his team mates ever talk to him about his saluting? 'hey cadel, try a helmet wipe! its awesome everyone will think you are cool'

Memorable moments from Stage 6
5. A. Schleck going backwards
4. Ballan delivering Cuddles to the foot of the final climb, mouth agape.
3. Nibali Attacks!
2. Cuddles Crushes!
1. What kind of celebration was that?

(I only watched the last 10km)

Conclusion: Cuddles will be dangerous this spring. Perhaps MSR is not his kind of race, but many of the northern classics certainly are...

Northern classics: E3 Prijs Vlaanderen(it has bigger names than G-W), Ronde van Vlaanderen, Gent-Wevelgem and Paris-Roubaix. No way he's a threat there. He's not even riding them.

FW, AGR and LBL= Ardennes classics. And I don't think he's riding AGR, so that just leaves FW and LBL.

Strange people, you Limburgers. Awkward sense of humour too.

They have a hard life.

Not really Dutch, if I believe in these Dutch not coming from Limburg, and surrounded by Wallonians and Germans on the other side.
But I love them anyway. Nice weather today so I'll ride over later, satisfy myself with few times Eyserbosweg, nice coffie and bananacake then and perhaps a good bong. lol :D

Thanks for the info...but are you saying that cuddles can't ride cobbles, or that he just never has? He certainly has shown his adaptability lately....

Evans LBL for the win.

Evans LBL for the win.

The fact that he never has and that he isn't a threat to Boonen or Cancellara.

The Ronde is filled with very short and steep hills, the ones Gilbert, Boonen and Cancellara fly over with power alone. Cuddles is more the type of guy for the somewhat longer and steeper climbs like Mur de Huy. There's nothing like that in the Ronde. And he's too light for Paris-Roubaix.

Seeing as he'll never drop these guys on the hills of Flanders and seeing as he can't win a sprint against these guys to the finish either, it's safe to say he isn't a threat. And he's also inexperienced at a monument like Flanders. Having experience there is pretty important.

Finally got to watch last kms if this

As with the day before, a masterclass in how to win a bike race

I never thought I would say this but Cuddles is one the most exciting/ my favourite riders these days

Somehow I'd sooner see Evans drop Boonen on the Muur van Geraardsbergen than the other way around.
