Oh no...It's Carlton Kirby:(

Carlton Kirby is AWESOME. I'll hear no word against him. He isn't the best cycling commentator out there, but he wouldn't pretend to be, and he knows enough to provide knowledgable enough commentary. He does the commentary on such a wide range of sports - he's cropped up commentating on Nordic Combined skiing, Ski-Jumping, MotoGP and Endurance Motorsport that I've seen, and I'm sure he's done more as well. To be able to do that you've got to be pretty versatile, and it's incredible that he's as knowledgable on cycling as he is. Magnus Backstedt is a brilliant analyst and he can cover up for all of Carlton's flaws anyway. They're ten times the commentary team Phil'n'Paul are these days.

You could always sleep. Dream of a world where Valverde is banned and Wiggins wins the Tour de France.

yeh insomnia defeats that.. ive watched three seasons of burn notice in the last three weeks, two seasons of deadwood, an entire season of vampire stories, ive just watched the survivor finale, amazing race finale, and the latest 24, so there really is nothing to watch. Im not allowed to watch top chef while the wife is away cos she will make me watch it again..

ToC it is :/

Deadwood is awesome.... The others (at least the ones that I know of) are more remedies for insomnia if you ask me.

OK, all joking aside, lots of new names for me in this race. Teams and riders.

Of the Continetal ones, which are the teams that are most interesting, and which riders make it so?

Phil Zajicek of Fly V Australia is the most notable as he is a pretty good rider with a decent team behind him. However, I'm looking for Scott Zwizanski of Kelly Benefit Strategies because he is from my area and still only lives a few miles away. Zwizanski is currently sitting in 27th place, only 10 seconds out, so he has looked good so far.

Just as I write that, Phil Liggett announces 'it feels like we've been riding a week, it's only been two days but we've had so much action already'... pull the other one, tweedledumb.

Well you don't know what happened yesterday.

Don't you have any options besides American shows?

You should be in the US. Phil is even providing the voice overs for the Lance/Nissian ads. Its Phil all around here.

is riding your bike after the riders, or along the side of the road, seriously frowned apon?? i don't want to be that douchebag, but something about riding up the same climb in the general vicinity of the pros gives me goose bumps and makes me feel like a kid again, lol.

What could possibly go wrong with that plan! :D

Worst thing is that you may be the most interesting that happens in the whole stage.

yah I recomend parking on hwy1 at the beach, and riding your bike up, there will be tons and tons of cars there if you get there close to arrival time... parking up the mountain should be fine if you get there early enough.. want to team up and moon lance?? or we could shotgun beers and shout obscenities..[/QUOTE]

Chase him with a giant syringe... ask him why he left his cancer stricken girlfriend when she needed him most.

Kramer: "He..he... When they pull that needle out I let the expletives fly."

Kramer reaches for a glass of water and drinks but manages to have it

spill out on to the floor

WOW!!!!

I'm just tuning in to the TOC for the first time this year and on Versus HD it is eye-poppingly vivid.

I wish the giro was in HD...

So this climb Bonny Doon... does anyone have a profile? Phil is talking it up being pivotal but just mentioned there's still 24km after the climb for everything to regroup.

It will be pivotal when Andy Jacques-Maynes uses the climb to attack his breakaway companions and solo to the stage win.:D

We can at least dream that something like that happens as it would at least liven things up.

So what say Canc and Andy Shleck smash it up then the Canc can time trial baby Shleck to the line?

I actuallly already know whats going to happen but I want something else to occur. But it won't. Stop it here and give Levi the win.

Lance dropped already.
