Don't be hatin' on my man, Tommy D. This will be his season. Of course I said that last year and the year before, but if I keep making the prediction then I will eventually be right...or he will finally retire and fade into obscurity.

TD could win the ToC if he is in "on". With the Z-Man talking about possible victory for himself, it sounds like Garmin is targeting the race.

If TD is doing California instead of the Giro then he will probably do the Tour. Perfect for smacking down Wiggins.

Bro, I admire your dedication to the concept of TD ever winning something if importance. You make the Cubs fan in all of us proud.

But he's still better than you EVER were... Right??

Just checking

Wow, you're not just a douchebag on weekends, you pull it off all week long!

If he would target the Dauphine, Tour de Suisse, TOC, etc. he could still earn some nice palmares before it's time for him to hang it up.

Danielson's wonderboy phase has unceremoniously come and gone. He's going to be 32 next month. It's too late for him to target races he should of raced years ago.

The palmeres you mention is impossible for him to achieve at this stage of the game. Those races are hard, and are targeted by Tour contenders every year.

He has no place amongst that type of peloton, unless it's way at the back.

I'm shocked quite frankly that he still has a contract with a pro tour team.

I expect absolutely nothing of consequence from him this year.

I know but TD is handsome and Vaughters has that wondering eye.

TD may be a bit of a headcase, and he seems to be far too fragile for a GT win, but I think you are perhaps taking this a little overboard. He was 3rd in the Tour de Burgos this year, and he has placed in the top 10 of the Vuelta (twice I believe). Keep in mind that 2007 and 2008 were throw away years ...

I think TD will accomplish more, he seems like a bit of a late bloomer (and perhaps the 'cleaner' peloton may help him find some better results).

JV is hyping everyone on his team who needs a mental boost. TD, DZ ... makes me feel good that RH and CVdV are not being discussed.

Wow awesome personal attack there VF. RR tips TD to win the TOC but apparently he didn't put enough man-love into his comment for your tastes so you run with a personal attack on him out of nowhere.

Well played, nutjob. If I say "TD is hawt" will you not flame me?

Really!?... I suggest you read his post again. Mine is a simple question, not an attack. I'm not better than Tom Danielson and neither are you, or RR for that matter. Where's the attack?

I mean... I didn't call him a nutjob or anything.

Well as an impartial outsider I'd say while you are nearly TFF's equal when it comes to insults the rest of your posting content falls woefully short.

I can't apologize for actually having a life, but I am sorry that I can only get on once or twice a month to remind you all that you talk entirely too much sh!t about athletes who have put more on the line than any of you ever will.

But hey... this is a place specifically designed for us under achievers to sit in judgement. Have at it!

Getting p!ssed for being called on it, is more than a little ironic.

Keep telling yourself that you do have a life and maybe it will happen!
Meanwhile if you feel like you are so superior to everyone here why do you bother coming back. Are you trying to shore up some personal feelings of inadequacy by finding someone you can feel better than?

Worthy praise from my Mentor. Just hoping to meet the standards you set.

Any luck with that finding a life thing?

Says the guy who's avatar is tattoo he likes inked on another man's leg. Hey Gomer, I know getting a tattoo is all scary and stuff for a woman like you, but I'd say you could probably stand a tramp stamp of some roses and a dolphin. They even have numbing ointment for ladies who cant hack the pain. Please post the picture when you get it done...The answer is: rhymes with nussy.

Put more on the line? ......this is bike racing we are talking about, not Black Hawk Down.

regardless of your trolling I am sticking with TD to podium. If there was a true Mountain top finish he could win it but they have neutered the Big Bear stage.

No... strictly for the entertainment value.

Yeah... they actually ride bikes. Not live vicariously on a web site. You've got over 1900 post in six months. How many miles?

You seriously want to talk about avatars?... Please, you can do so much better.

You only just discovered how internet communities operate? If the internet makes you upset, maybe you should launch a holy war against CERN?

oh, I rode a little over 3 hrs today at 35 degrees F - hurt so good,

and i actually like watching the Eskimo ride his bike, and I just do not think he has got the whole program of starving himself, like Wiggins, down yet - http://www.dailypeloton.com/displayarticle.asp?pk=9639

I've got a perfect test for off topic, personal attackers and your avatar provided the idea: before they can post again they must successfully glue a tubular Continental Sprinter to a rim without making a mess....that will keep the dilletantes busy for awhile.

I never glue a tubular correctly

bring home tire, inflate to 120psi and let it turn itself so the tape is on the outside and stem pointing in. Forget about it for a day or two, deflate cause it has now stretched itself for placing on rim, and getting glue all over the god damn place, especially your hands. just as it should be.

oh, and once again to get this back to the frickin' topic

mr. danielson needs to keep to his diet.

Oh, an Internet tough guy.

Should be over 8,000 miles again this year. Not bad for a guy with a full time job, family, kids, and 120,000 miles in the air.

As for "Putting it on the line" 20 years ago I sold everything I had, moved to Europe, lived in a van. Also raced there as a junior when you were a kid. These days I am there 2-3 months a year racing endurance races.

It's really easy after the first 100, only problem is after 5000 you don't want to do it anymore but everyone knows you are good at it.
