Carapaz? Why? He is a shadow of his former self. Not even a top10 GT contender anymore
He was literally fourth in the Vuelta...

Sorry, I was referring to the TourHe was literally fourth in the Vuelta...
IMO keep it. Good topic bot or not. It is not disruptive and just as easily could have been posted by any (real) member. As Mod
So if there is interest in this thread, we can keep it, and let's move the discussion of bots to a more suitable location.
Yeah: I wasn't suggesting blitzing the thread. But if I removed the OP because it was (probably, if not my apologies to the poster) AI-generated, then the whole thread would be vaporised.IMO keep it. Good topic bot or not. It is not disruptive and just as easily could have been posted by any (real) member.
Good luck you're not a mod then....If someone puts O'Connor in his top10, that person should be banned.
IMO Hindley has been a bit disappointing since his very impressive Giro win. If he can recapture that level he deserves inclusion. I hope he can - he was climbing like an angel then.Good luck you're not a mod then....
I'll have a crack at it.
1. Mads Pedersen
2. Ben O'Connor
3. Jasper Philipsen
4. Bini
5. Tim Merlier
6. Johnatan Milan
7. Richard Carapaz (I know he has done more impressive stuff than those listed above him, but I'm basing this on current level so as I see it today)
8. Enric Mas
9. Juan Ayuso
10. Marc Hirschi
Hindley and De Lie are my first cuts.
Yates, Van Eetvelt, Jorgenson and Stephen Williams are just below those. Maybe Kamna in the future, if he finds his old level again.
I feel bad leaving out the likes of Healy, Powless etc etc, but it's hard ranking them amongst "winners".
He names Van Aert as part of the big 6Think Van Aert deserves a shout.
I think this is where it gets very hard because these guys tend to be a combination of not consistent winners, one trick ponies, or very close together in level
Mads Pedersen, Jorgenson, Ganna and Philipsen are probably the easiest picks.
If someone puts O'Connor in his top10, that person should be banned.
This thread has too much math
Very nice list, I think I would only remove Ayuso and Mas and replace them by Girmay and Milan. The latter are much better in their field than the other two in theirs.Honorable mentions: Ganna, Tarling, Kuss, Girmay, Milan, Carapaz, Rodríguez, Gee, Hindley, Martínez, Thomas
- Pogi
- Vingegaard
- Van der Poel
- Evenepoel
- Rogla
- Philipsen
- Van Aert
- Pedersen
- Yates, A.
- Almeida
- Landa
- Pidcock
- Jorgenson
- Ayuso
- Mas
- Merlier
Botcharov should change his middle name to something starting with I, giving him the ultimate name: AI BotcharovSantiago Botero
Aleksandr Botcharov
Jeremy Cabot
Robot Gesink
Primoz Robotlic
Robotto Heras
Enrico Gasparobotto
Albotto Contador
Alberto Botiol
Basshunter
EDIT: Saw the Mod comment after posting, couldn't help it, sorry
It's hard as well cause how much do you bias the most recent results and how much historical results. For example, based entirely on the past 2 seasons Carapaz doesn't deserve to be in this list. But as a GT winner, 2*GT 2nd place and not too far off peak Roglic in one of those, TDF 3rd place and Olympic gold ahead of Pogacar on a route perfect for him in terms of peak form he might be top or just behind PhillipsenThis is basically an impossible question because the riders' form changes from month to month and we're not aware of those changes until they participate in a few races (after which their form may change again) so the most we can do would be to judge top10 riders based on some time period in the past but we can't really say who's top10 in the present. I mean we can say it but it'll never be accurate.
No one lists Froome as part of the Big 6, so I don't see the relevancy of old results. It's hard as well cause how much do you bias the most recent results and how much historical results.
