That would be nice but that takes them up into the Chartreuse so I can't see that before coming back down to Chamrousse. As regards to Chamrousse are they going from the golf club or from the Uriage side? I cycled the golf club side twice recently. It's not steep so they should blast up that at a frightening pace. Perfect for Sky. I hope there's something included to make that stage more of a challenge.

Am sure Riis would love if Contador could do something epic on that very stage for obvious historical reasons.

Better than Luz Ardiden that's for sure. Although we're lucky airstream is not around as Plateau de Beille > all!1!11!

Ok, let's pin some hope there. Could do an interesting stage making it long and the final 100km or so annoyingly up and down. As we have it the longest day will be into Luchon, with the heavier ramps on Bales coming around 200km.

Jueves 24 julio. Etapa 18: Pau - Hautacam, 145 kms Final en alto

Umm, 145km means only Tourmalet before Hautacam. Lol at the U19 length, if they were going to do that why not use Bales?

Often the shorter stages offer more explosive riding. Its nice with a mix of short mountain stages as well as marathon mountain stages

probably because they'll already use it in the previous stage.

We the shortest route by road is 50km and it looks like they are taking a slightly longer route of I'm guess nearly 60km
