Not exactly, but you do make a point, LL sanchez was only 14 minutes behind last year, they can't just let him ride. So eventually the peleton will start going again.

Okay, let everyone back on, but if they don't race anymore, screw them.

Lance Armstrong is a lot of things, but you have to admit, it is remarkable how lucky he was between 1999-2005 when it came to crashes.

Damn it, what's wrong this year? The tour isn't that much faster than previous years is it?

Cancellara up to his old tricks. Get on with it.
Hushovd won't sit and let the jersey go because the Schlecks have got the willies again.

Looks like Lay-O-Tard wants to attack, and Thor and Gilbert is giving them hell about it.

The Leopard / Cancellara hate is getting really sad. One half of the forum is hating them for wanting to ride, the other for wanting to neutralize. You guys are just looking for reasons to hate them now.

LLS was laying low the whole season, now they could give him a big advantage (unless Prudhomme neuters the stage).

The only good that can come of this would be break getting 15 minutes putting Tommy V in yellow for a very very very long time.

No, it's not. The first week is always like this. Always has been and ittalways will be. 198 fresh riders, no sortout on GC, rain, etc... c'mon. This is a bike race.

Let's use facts on this one: Name a year where more favorites crashed out.

And then plot a graph where you look at the last few years.

Sorry, but this carnage is indeed relatively recent.

Would you have the DS spray the tarmac with water to see where it becomes slippery? For thousands of km of road?

No. Perhaps you misunderstood me. I'm saying they need to ride to the conditions (a wet corner doesn't need to be taken at full speed).

Bad descent again.

One dry line. They'll need to be careful.

Someone needs to tell them.

That's the fun of bashing Leopard :). If they even show their faces up front after a crash they can be blamed for taking advantage, if they even try to control the pace for a bit due to 2 of the main GC riders crashign out they can be blamed for "trying to control the race". There's no losing in the world of the Leopard haters :p

I wasn't watching, did anyone retire apart from Vino and VDB2? The ticker mentioned some Garmins were on the floor, did they all get back up?

A great shame to lose those two, the GC field is getting smaller and smaller and smaller. A Contador-Schleck-Evans podium looks more and more certain, the only question is what order they finish in.

Which is one of the reasons I believe they should throw in 1 serious MTF in the first week (Puy de Dome a prime candidate).

2006 comes in mind but that was riders crashing before the race :p
