Rest day can't come soon enough for Gesink and Contador, although Robert looked a bit better today.

Cavendish will be very happy that the break stayed away, that prevented Gilbert from taking maximum points.

Not impressed in the slightest bit with LL Sanchez, where is the sense of accomplishment and victory when you sit on and not share the workload then attack in the final 200 meters? I'm not saying it wasn't *smart* racing, but look at Voeckler he worked his tail off the whole day, it would have seemed more apropos if he had won the stage.

Also, well done Thor!!! He really did honor the yellow jersey and did it justice. That's the way it should be done.

If Voeckler wins this, he will get a statue on the Champs.

:D Well before that the GC men are going to have a hard time prying the yellow jersey off Tommy V's back, if history is any indication. Plus Tommy V does not show any signs of being weaker than the last time he held yellow for days. What was that, 2004? I think he's stronger than 2004. The GC guys have a tiger by the tail.

why does he give us some hope :(

Cannot deal with it.

I think he'll ride on and get around 10th by the end.

If he really is improving, then there's no reason to assume he can't contend for the Top-5 anymore. This is optimistic of course, but quite a few contenders have been eliminated.
