Real connoisseurs know all the best races are decided by uphill bunch sprints and won by Cadel Evans with Hincapie in second, Santaromita in third, Schär in fourth and Morabito in fifth place. Contador, who must lose eight seconds, should also be grimacing so the BMC effort looks even more impressive. Cadel must take the polka dots, the green jersey and of course the yellow jersey in the process. He should also win the Vittel Combativity Award, the Special Prize for Dog Owners, and the award for best post-race interview, awarded by the French Union of Journalists. Daniele Righi must finish outside of the time limit.

Other good races include the Swiss TT championships and all races in which Greg Van Avermaet takes part — he might win points jerseys.

glad to see you know a lot about me. I follow cycling all year round and post on this forum all season long everyone knows that. And is there something wrong with being a big fan of a particular team so now everyone has to be neutral towards everyteam. supporting a team is what makes it fun lol. and the reason i prefer the peleton racing for the win rather than the break is that we get to see the main contenders battling it for the win and not just trying to get seconds from one another.

Yep this is where being able to pick the right break is a real skill. If i was wanting to I would be watching the likes of Chavanel like a hawk.

No breakaway yet and very high speed. The peleton will "die" when the breakaway is finally established. What will they get? 10-12 minutes before the peleton starts to move again?

The post wasn't calling you a July fan. It was joking that I must be a July fan for not being aware of your reputation.

There's nothing wrong with being a big fan of a particular team or rider. Just be prepared to face some ridicule when that team does badly or even does well but not as well as overhyped by its fans. And don't feel the need to bring said team into every post.

I'm hoping it contains a few riders like that. Fringe contenders like him or a Uran. A top 15-20 fringe sort of guy. It'll make the day a lot more interesting.

A break will eventually go and it'll slow down. I don't think he's in that kind of trouble as to not be able to stay with the peloton on a stage like this.
