pls tell me when has evans attacked this year? or last year? maybe once or twice at the most. definetely a wheelsucker, only leipheimer is worse

Yeah, because it doesn't matter that his arm was broken last year and this years it's been a freaking flat week so far and in the first 2 medium mountain stage he has attacked.

Yeah, we know your story Ryo. Try to turn every forum topic into an attack on Evans. We get it! You don't like the guy! Try posting something constructive or at least original, or do a lot of us a favour and just go away.

Nah, because he reacted very late. He never saw Phil's wheel. Contador had to react with Schlecklett in his wheel.

yeah you said it, he reacted. that's not an attack, that's a counter. too late of course because evans is a coward that panicks when nobody else reacts and he has to. evans never goes himself. never. only time I saw him attack was in the wc

Evans attacks whenever he has the legs. Unfortunately, in the big mountains, this is often not the case. Thus, he is forced to suck wheels.
I never liked watching him ride, but he won me over last year, especially at Montalcino.

he didn't attack on montalcino either. he just made the pace with vino and many dropped and then won the sprint. vino was the instigator of that move anyway and when evans saw they were making lots of time he started helping vino

Funny how someone with his style of racing has more points than the whole of Colombia in the UCI rankings...

Txurruka DNF.

After Intxausti yesterday and now this, the Tour is dead to me.

Sportzchick, maybe he was called a wheelsucker because for years he wasted chances to create the palmarès fitting of his ability because of an unwillingness to attack when it needed to happen. He did attack from time to time, but seldom with any conviction, and usually when he really needed it he didn't have the wherewithal, tactical sense, confidence or legs, or any combination of the above, to do so. He's thrown off his wheelsucker tag in the last two years, but he had it before then for a reason.

Brutt gone, Amets gone..
It will be a miracle if Gesink reaches the finish in time today.

Another day at the office in the Tour

What is Gesink doing? Supposedly he was dropped and is fighting to get back on. I am sorry but it is clear that this injury ain't getting better. Pull out son and rebuild for la vuelta.

So, him dropping everyone riding at too strong a pass is not enough? He has to attack out of the saddle? I guess Basso also never attacks either (2006 notwithstanding), yet he dropped everyone on most of last year's Giro climbs. Evans simply is not the explosive type to make a flamboyant attack. At least he tries at times, unlike Bottle.

You could make a pretty decent team from those that have abandonned. Before the start the ten were:

Jurgen Van de Walle, Janez Brajkovic, Christophe Kern, Ivan Velasco, Vasil Kiryienka, Tom Boonen, Bradley Wiggins, Rémi Pauriol, Chris Horner and Benat Intxausti.

Hard to say who should be reserve.
