I would expect Lotto-Soudal to chase as they have no-one in front and Sagan is there.
But Greipel is behind the peloton at the moment. He'll catch up in the descent though, I'd guess.

According to Fuglsang, Nibali believes that Tinkoff will try to attack today, and therefore he (Nibali) wants the team around him so that they are ready.

About the time for Talansky to come back into top10 overall contention gaining significant time from a breakaway. Worked for him in 2013.

Next year Wanty will get a wildcard and we'll see them chase breakaways all day to defend Francis De Greef's top 20 spot.

I bet there's plenty of communication between team directors at the moment.
Selection's making.

Sagan back in the bunch?

The Tour site showed him in the peloton for a while, but now it shows him back in the break.

Aaaand right now back in the peloton. I don't know what's going on.

Lotto said they won't put any effort anymore in getting sagan back if he's in a break.

He didn't clarify. However, I'm certain they wouldn't pull them back. They are much, much more likely to go with them.

Nope to pull him them back. One does simply not allow Contador to attack and just not respond.

Although gap is only 30 seconds, surely Sky will happily let this go now.

Edit: I should clarify, all my posts are completely biased on account of my having backed Talansky at 300-1.

Pretty impressive chase from IAM. Whether it was for Frank I dunno but it could work out for them if these 8 are allowed to go

Would have thought so, surely they can't be worried about Talansky getting 20 minutes? Someone else will shut him down and if they put the effort in to catch him then someone else, possibly more dangerous, might go off the front?

We'll get non stop racing now i think. I don't think movistar or katusha will let a group go far away at this point.

Of course no early live coverage while based on the first 50km you could assume we're gonna get non stop action. And with sagan's green jersey battle
