This is the truth. Unfortunately, he'll get caught now, but at least the others have learned a lesson.

Surely all they have learnt is what they already know. That an attack from 40km+ out is almost certainly doomed to fail.

All attacks are doomed to fail if Sky still has four, five, or six guys. This is how to rectify that situation.

Nah, Valverde's been a great teammate this Tour and has done everything the team has asked of him (except for maybe that TTT stage )
