Gonna get hate for this and obviously I don't want this to happen, but if I was Movistar DS I would order Nairo and Piti to go for 2nd and 3rd rather than try attack Froome and lose the second podium place.
Totally agree.

Agreed. But, that's totally not the issue. If they were to, say like TJ, state their intention of getting the podium finish, then I think everybody will ok with it. Just that, they always talk the big talk about the Alps, attacks on CF, weaking SKy, blah blah blah while all the time their actions suggest otherwise,........so u get why we think they suck?!
So they're lying about their tactics. How rude!

Yep, and everyone who hates them saying it's because of they're tactics when really it is because Movistar are lying, is lying themselves! It's a vicious circle :D

When will people realize that Quintana and Valverde don't have the legs to attack Froome, and neither does anyone else and that each time you attack him, you have Froome closing it down or Thomas. That's why Movistar rode the way they did yesterday because they obviously don't have the legs to do anything and it's better to get 2nd and 3rd for sponsors and everything else rather than miss out on both.
But people in this forum wants suicide even if it compromises the podium.

Now you have to try to see if Froome is having a bad day. You never know.

Re:

Isn't Quintana only like 3 minutes behind Froome? With 2 mountain stages left after today including Alpe?

And he has the best card in the race - Valverde, as his teammate. With Contador and Nibali quite a bit behind and weaker climbers?

And people are seriously defending him riding for 2nd?
