So the UCI allows one kit change a year. Belgian Lotto had a kit change for the Tour of Belgium a couple of months ago.

Oh, they did away with the subtle allusions to Michelle. Thought they were the right mix of funny and understated. Seems I rate her higher than most of the forumites, though.

Mixed feelings about the neutralization. I like the winning isn't everything mentality and the Champs Elysees cobbles would been a madhouse with everyone protecting the GC riders. But one more chance for the hard men would have been fitting. Sagan pipped by Dege at the line would've been classic. Guess on balance I'm for the neutralization.

Yea, they still need to complete the race, but they don't need to worry about time. Hopefully they don't totally sit up though cos that could become hell to police on such a short circuit.

I find it a little weird that Bardet rides in the KOM jersey today. On all other stages I think it's fine that the one who's second in the competition wears the jersey when the leader is wearing another, but today? Nah.

The full length race for the stage win is still on, right?

Agreed. At least he has a spare to take home from the earlier stage.

Sky apparently have a change of kit for today's stage, with yellow trim instead of blue. I thought that was not allowed, cf the Armstrong 28 million people kit from (?) 2009.

Yeah it shouldn't be allowed. That's **** up.

Sky will just do it and wear the fines - like they have done for illegal feeds in the past. Penalty should be 2 minutes for each member of the team!!

They have permission:

17:10:04 CEST

Froome is now together with his teammates. Sky is wearing a special jersey today, with a yellow stripe down the back. And yes, they got permission for it.

Nibali has done English interviews on CyclingNews. He can get points across.

Hopefully only about 60-ish riders will bother keeping pace though - that turn looked brutal in the women's race, so luckily only sprint trains and breakaway hopefuls will be there with that (extremely sensible) rule

The finish isn't nuetralized, just GC

Someone (Boom?) was disqualified for being lapped on the Champs Elyssees a couple of years ago: is that rule still in place?

Yeah, but I think 55k might not be enough to give the classics men (also Stybar, Vanmarcke) an edge.

I'd imagine knowing the basics of several languages is pretty useful for a pro cyclist

Yes. if the price we have to pay for not seeing riders getting badly injured after aqua planing across the cobbles then I'm glad they've neutralised the GC.

Not sure you understand? Assuming the break is brought back (not a given today), then there'll be a sprint on the last lap.

Cancellara's missing. Tony martin, as well.
Wonder if Vanmarcke will stretch his legs. I bet we'll see him.

I think we will see some surprises today. I think Nibs will definitely try something.
A long break could stay away.

What would happen if Froome slips on the cobbles and Movie start to get a decent gap ,,,,they would have to go for it.
