We've barely seen any of the course in the US (if you're watching NBC Sports).Literally just had 3 minutes of commercials and came back to show Orica crossing the line and then went to another commercial break

Will TV directors ever apply permanent split screens in TTT's? Is it that hard? Because that would make them a lot more interesting instead of these 5-10 min coverage of each team. I can imagine TTT's are the most boring thing in the world to watch for sports fans or cycling fans who're not diehards.

Well they do slam in the commercials early and then stay commercial free for the finale on the road stages. Hard to say how they'll do it here.

I keep ES running on the computer to watch while NBCSN is on commercial. Sometimes both stations are on commercials!

I was just noticing with Trek starting that Jungels wasn't wearing a national kit. When did that rule change? As far as I recall riders have always been allowed to wear individual kits in a TTT. Did that change with the reinstatement of the TTT WCs?

It changed in either '12 or '13. I think it was during 2013 that it changed.
