Because it's far more important to know how long he'll be out for or even if it's career ending than knowing if he'll retire from one single race that he's not even team leader for.

Depending on the type of fracture, it might very well be a career ending injury. Let's hope not.

Ugh, it was one of those things you rarely hear in life that every time you do it stays with you, the difference between a cry in pain and a "something is seriously wrong" screech, worst part was you could hear it on the broadcast. Best case scenario is probably a Contador style fracture.
