I asked ASO for clarification as they mention full points in their stage preview (they sent out per mail) as well - and I indeed got the confirmation that 50+20 points are available today. So apparently the official rulebook is wrong...
Thanks for the update. I wonder if there will be the same muddle about Friday's stage which is Coeff 1 in the rules and regs but Coeff 2 according to the other (earlier) sources

Anyone see David Millar's TDF Dream Team yesterday? He had Indurain, Hinault, and Ullrich as domestiques for Froome.

So between Châteauneuf-sur-Isère and Alixan not too far from the finish there will be a perfect section for echelons. After they cross the Isère passing through Châteauneuf-sur-Isère there is a little bit of a hill (something like ~1,2km @ 5%, you can see the bump on the profile) and after that all the way to Alixan, for a bit more than 7km they will have perfect crosswinds with various stretches that are very open on the d101 (unless they planted a ton of trees since google did the streetview on that road) and furthermore, the road isn't necessarily super wide either. That should be enough to split it up and after that it will be 11km to the finish. Of course echelons are always very unpredictable (and that's why we love them so much), but if there's a strong break and some nervousness before the finale due to the wind, there might be some tired legs already and I can see it breaking in this part and due to it being not too far from the finish, things might not come back together again and it could be significant.

Considering it took me one glance at the map and 5 minutes of going through google street view to figure this out, I imagine the DS's are aware of this and it will at the very least be very nervous on this section.

Froome to puncture when echelons start forming and eventually lose three minutes. Contador to gain time on every gc contender other than Martin and begin his attack on yellow.

lol, that's trolling of the highest order. Did he throw Pantani in as the water carrier as well? :)

Ullrich and Indurain would indeed fit in perfectly with the Sky train. Hinault I wouldn't trust so much.

Great reseach, much appreciated. Thank you.
Now I'm looking forward to watch last 20kms of the race otherwise I wouldn't.

Cannondale has never been brilliant when there was echelons, so i think Uran is risking something today.

Millar said the same about Hinault.

Millar just comes across as a clown most of the times honestly.

Echelons? Great! Will catch the last hour, should be interesting.

Millar's team has just been repeated on ITV4. Full team was Indurain, Hinault, Ullrich, Anquetil, Cavendish, Sagan, Bartali, Garin and Froome.

He introduced his team by talking about cycling's chequered history but that his selection was for a 100% clean race today, and then picks a guy disqualified for taking a train!

Presumably he is insinuating that Froome is the greatest of all time then.

Last ditch attempt for Matthews in battle for green. Probably needs the full 50 points or close to it to stand any chance.

Bit of a shame Nairo's not feeling it as his road captain, Bennati's a past master in the crosswinds : wasn't it he that drove Contador away from Froome a few years back and blew Valverde and his entire Movistar team out the back and out of contention ?

It would make most sense for Indurain to be the leader of Millar's team and Froome being domestique (although Froome shouldn't even be in the team).
