Now I'm going to put the mens race aside and see if the boys race of this year's Tour can give us something good today.

Tour de France, stage 18, last moutain stage, there are 7 riders in 5 minutes, we are on the last climb and there is only 19 pages in here. Tour de Bore...

That's all relative. There have many more boring TDFs in the past.

I know, but still this s***s. I haven't seen all the stages, but every time I have seen one I slept. Thank god I can't follow it now.

I don't really get what AG2R is doing. Using your team in a situation like this only makes sense if you are really drilling it but right now I think the pace would be higher if they would simply let sky work.

Sky look like they are cruising here, how do you out grind the ultimate grinders by riding tempo, you feel as though AG2R are just playing into skys hands especially with the headwind on the climb.

Looking at the climb profile, it is perfect for Froome.
Consistently steep with a small descent a few km from the finish that reminds me of the Ventoux false flat.
Froome for the stage!
Bardet - second.
Uran, Landa - third, fourth.
Martin - fifth
Aru - sixth
(Or, at least, the GC guys in that order if the break stays away)

I don't think we'll see many (successful) attacks but that's probably because they can't.
