The break: Mollema, Gallopin, Bakelants, Chavanel, Hardy, Kiserlovski, Molard, Calmejane, Perichon, De Gendt, Brambilla, Keukeleire, Boasson Hagen, Sicard, Swift, Gesbert, Arndt, Albasini, Bennati, Simon
This is a dream scenario for EBH. Just 150km now to think how he can convert it into a win. No pressure

And all of them know that the guy they need to shake off is EBH. He is in for a tough one..

De Gendt in the break AGAIN!? That man deserves a medal. Gunning for EBH to take the stage. About time he won given his narrow misses and not having to serve Cav since early on in the race.

I've been afraid the ratings of the Tour won't be as high as they've expected, but seeing the 5 year deal, it seems it's been very successful full coverage premiere.

Eurosport Germany just complained about small time gaps and team radio. Something quite new that eurosport reporters don't just praise absolutely everything about the tour, but I like it. :)

Breakaway must find a way to outplay Eddy Boss or he´s got this in his pocket.

The breakaway's strong, the gap's decent, but isn't growing anymore...
Coming down now..
Why is sky doing that though?
They can give the break 20 mins and chill...
Or they want to keep the sprinters teams interested so that they can take up the chase on the flats.. :p

Swift, Arndt, Albasini, Bennatti... the break has lots of sprinting talent besides EBH.
Also, in these types of stages, often a late lone attacker will win. My bets on Chavanel or Bakelants.
Hopefully Eddie takes it though.

Sky should just let it balloon to 15 minutes.

But they're all rolling through well.

They can accelerate well if they all work evenly now. I think they'll stay away.

Nicolas Portal (Sky): “We don’t want a bunch sprint today”

Questioned by FranceTelevisions, Team Sky's sport director Nicolas Portal declared: “We've let the gap to the breakaway increase to eight minutes but it has decreased against our will. We want it to go up again. We certainly don't want a bunch sprint finish. It would be a risky finale. We're not interested in bringing the peloton back. We want this stage to be the easiest possible but there's a lot of head wind. Tomorrow, Chris [Froome] has no right to fail. It'll be one of the time trials of his life.”

AG2R should attack just for kicks. Zero chance Bardet gains time, but might as well fire a parting shot.

Afterwards they can claim "they did everything to win the Tour".
