No. Not at all disappointing. What did De Gendt actually accomplish with his breakaways? **** all except log lots of kms in the break. His best stage placement is like 46th or something. Barguil won stages, made some memorable rides and truly animated the race. He was the most attack minded climber in the race. I guess De Gendt was somewhat in the running for the polka dot jersey, but he was never really close to winning.

IMO Barguil deserves it because he was relevant in all massifs (except, well, the """""Vosges""""").

Not sure. The clock at the 2nd check didn't stop for Kwiato, so his time got corrected by a few seconds... and then corrected again at the finish? Whatever, no biggie.

barguil rode a fantastic race, but he already has the polka dot. I think de gendt or contador should have won and rasmussen makes a good point.
