As a Sky fan, this Tour was amazing.
As a cycling fan, this Tour was very disappointing.
But, as both, it is clear that Froome is now a cycling legend.

My thoughts exactly.

Anyone have any information on Kristoff? Is he able to sprint today? Is he planning on trying to sprint?

Dimension Data wrote in their preview that Intermediate Sprint has 3-2-1 bonus seconds today.

After this Tour, Froome is now the rider with the 4th (5th if you count Armstrong) most yellow jerseys, and only needs one more to jump into the top 3:

1. Merckx: 96
(Armstrong: 83)
2. Hinault: 75
3. Indurain: 60
4. Froome: 59
5. Anquetil: 50

The only rival who could stop Froome this Tour, was Aru preventing him from catching up with Indurain

Didn't Valverde recently pip Purito at the post? Oh wait, that was most likely the Vuelta!!!! :D
Yeah 2012, snatched the points jersey from him on the last stage. Still one of my favourite moments in recent cycling history.

First, I thought you were talking about Purito losing the Giro on the last stage to Hysedal in a TT. I remember JRod losing the points jersey to Mollema :D in the final day of the Vuelta (that was 2011). I didn't remember that he repeated the trick the year after as well.

Damn careless if you ask me ;) Nothing going to happen today though.

Anyway, the Gorilla always wins a stage doesn't he? So I'll go for EBH. :D

Landa's sprinting skills aren't quite up there with Valverde though! :D

With a full committed Sky Lead out, it's not inconceivable he could pick up 3rd spot in the Gallop, we have seen in the past that a superb leadout train can blow it to bits like when Cav and Renshaw got 1st and 2nd. If it were me I try it for the craic!

Sky will be holding hands celebrating. They really should try something for Landa, no matter how difficult it is. It's one second.

They should put Landa last in line and Kwiatkowski in front of him, then let Kiryienka, Rowe and Knees do a leadout as if they were launching Kwiat for the sprint so that he can go with 200-220m to go, and hopefully take Landa with him. If they release Landa with 200 to go he'll just drop back like a stone. Unlikely scenario, but one can dream...

It's practically impossible to do it in the sprint. Landa needs a break that stays away.

I mean, if Froome was 1 second away from the win, maybe it would be worth trying, since he has a half-decent sprint. I would still think it's outlandish, but maybe. But Landa...? And for third place?
The Sky train could probably get him close if necessary, but there's still at least 6 teams in the race with actually fast sprinters who would love to win in Paris, and it's just fantasy.

I assumed people were talking about the intermediate?

Reminds me 2014 when Bardet tried to overtake Van Garderen for fifth place. They ended in the same 'group'.

Almost forgot how long Bardet is around in GT classificiations already. And he never really did the Vuelta/Giro seriously before either. True TDF rider
Yeah this will be his 4th tdf top ten in a row.

He needs Sky to drill it when/if Bardet at any time either loses contact with the bunch or just sits too far back.
