Wasn't Mengin going for the win once and then crashed in the final k? It was a rainy stage.

Yes, Tour 2005, Bernucci won that day, taking advantage of that crash.

Funny enough, I was going to say that it was Bernucci the one who crashed and that Mengin had been on the break of the day, guess my memory was trolling me. At least I remembered that Bernucci was involved on the discussion of the stage. :D

And meanwhile in Denmark* they're discussing the colours of various tractor brands...

*The commentators are in France, but I'd say the majority of their viewers are in Denmark.
What's your favourite colour?
For a tractor, I mean.

I really don't have any preference. I'm a city-girl...
It was Chris Anker who sounded almost offended by a certain brand having the "wrong" colour.

This should appropriate for the ginger one, nevertheless.

I can't stop visualizing Nibali hanging on to it with a sticky bottle...

Such are the limits to which long flat stages drive our conversation.

It was the commentators that started.

Great to have Mick Rogers on ITV4 chatting about his career and experiences on the bike for the last 40 minutes or so. He said his favourite days on the bike were his HTC days.

The docu they did, Chasing Legends was great. They all looked like they had great fun and worked for each other.

Yes that was a good documentary.

Just a hint of crosswinds keeping everyone on their toes, but not enough of a threat for anything to kick off yet.
