And of course Demare...

Maybe the most underrated? It is easy to get caught up in Cav v Father Time, Kittel v Whatever Ails Him, Groenewegen v Gaviria for wins, Gaviria v Sagan v Matthews for green. And this even leaves out more than half the contenders. In some respects I am more excited for the sprints than anything else this tour, lucky considering the amount of sprint stages.

Funny to say that a monument winner is the most slept on sprinter in the field but I believe it. Demare was in some ways robbed of his coming out party last year. He may deserve to be discussed in as a likely points leader given his flashes of versatility.

Yeah, he was super impressive in last years tdf.

It's a shame Laporte has already won, barring generosity, really means there's not much to discuss, unless we want to consider who he'll gift it to, but I think he'll just take yellow no trouble. :)

How can they find stages so flat. It's amazing, even if I was a sprinter I would want some small hills at least to break up the monotony.
ASO probably banked on crosswinds and echelons. Sadly enough summer isn't the best season to expect strong winds. Who'd expect that?

And what's worse is that Eurosport is covering the stages in full length. Whoever thought that was a good idea for the Tour.

Only really intrested in stages like this when i am playing a fantasy game. And the idiots in ASO shut down velogames just a couple of days before the start of the tour...
