I'm not basing it on one sprint. I'm basing it on this season. Time and time again, everytime Groenewegen is not blocked or bad positioned, he wins, and easily as well.Zinoviev Letter said:Excellent sprint Groenewegen. Showing pretty clearly that those who were sure that Gaviria was the fastest based on earlier stages were jumping the gun. There’s no need to overcompensate based on this one sprint though. The sprinters field here is wide open. It’s just a pity that the old guard haven’t got any form.
Exactly. People always overreact. We have a bunch of sprinters that are at a similar level with slightly different strengths and advantages. There is no sprinter here that's head and shoulders above the rest. This has been the case all year. Terrific sprint from Groenewegen, though.Zinoviev Letter said:Excellent sprint Groenewegen. We’ve seen this before with Greipel and Kittel, almost unbeatable when launched from the right position but in the weeds most of the time without the support. Hopefully Dylan can learn to go it alone and get a decent train.Hugo Koblet said:Groenewegen confirms what we all new: That he's by far the fastest. Give him a decent train or teach him how to position himself and he'll dominate the sprints.
Gaviria looked a bit gassed at the end. So some of that as well.sir fly said:That looked easy.
Can't be that Gaviria and Sagan are getting tired. Lotto NL Jumbo studied the finish better than the others.

Too bad LottoNL has such poor preparation because of divided goals. Basically he has only Jansen, Martens and Roosen. Roosen is good but even he can't do it alone vs a QS with Terpstra, Lampaert, Richeze...
