Gap is now 7 minutes and 38 seconds. I am sure that the breakaway will stay away now and I think that Quintana is climb in the rankings as well.

Anyone noticed Dylan Groenewegen and Ewan are still in the peloton?
Yes. Struggled to keep up at the very top of Vars.
Looking at the bunch reminded me at some old footages. Seemed like more human pace, but still tiring.
We'll see when/if somebody takes over at Izoard.

Pretty bad crash. I'm always worried when riders jump back on the bike right away with shaky legs after something like this.

Too bad that other teams don't use their chances again. Instead of setting a higher pace to distance QSs mediocre helpers, they just let Lampaert and Morkov lead them over the climbs. He could have been isolated by now without that much effort.

That's a huge gap on such a big break including good climbers.

Eh, with two huge mountains and 120km left it's nothing if a couple GC teams were committed today, but obviously doesn't look like that's happening, so your prediction looks smarter now. ;)

If a couple of GC teams were interested, they wouldn't have let the gap grow to that extent in the first place, hence the prediction that they're not interested ;)

What will happen on Izoard? Landa wont attack in this situation, tempo from Ineos, FDJ, Lotto?

Who's going to ride for Lotto and why? Wellens, De Gendt? Benoot?

He really should

Quintana isnt getting any amount of time to put him in podium contention

I mean, he's looked pretty bad so far this Tour, but at some point, someone has to think about chasing Quintana, no? Or on put some pressure on Alaphilippe?
