sadly yes..the tour is so backloaded, that the riders will want to keep their powder dry the next week, instead of going hard today, which won't produce big gaps

It's amazing to me, that everyone has talked about the motorcycle problem for 5 years, and still, ASO is doing nothing about it.

This will go on until the first climb, today the break is not getting away easy, too many teams know today is their chance, with a Trek team not wanting to control too much.

This is a day you can't be caught napping, you'll see tons of activity for small time gaps at the end.
We will also see the consequences of being caught napping for at least 1-2 contenders.
Even if there are minimal changes in the GC, this stage will have a significant impact on the race for sure.
