If the things will not work out today I do hope Bore reconsider Ackermann Giro position and Sagan's schedule towards classics (as he can be on the top form there without the Tour third week).
Sagan can’t avoid this year’s Giro. He got paid serious money to ride it;)

Lutsenko and Gogl I think both sat up yesterday. Assuming it was to be ready for today?
Both very strong candidates for the break and the win here. Especially Lutsenko.

Well, this is a disappointment. So many teams without a win, and their DS think they have a better chance from the peloton than from a breakaway? Ridiculous. A strong 10-12 man break would never be seen again.

Why on earth would about half the teams in the peloton be content to miss the break today? surely some DS must be yelling in his rider’s ear right now

Come on, what kind of a DS tells 90kg Walscheid to enter the breakaway on this kind of stage? If he had a teammate with him and was working for him on the flat, then yes, but he'll be dropped like a stone on the climbs...

No team but Astana and the teams who don't want to get in the break should be happy with this situation yet here we are.

I can only conclude DS miss the much need CN Forum education.

Maybe I should clarify that I'm 90% serious here.
Reminds me of Scinto a few years, when he expected Christian Rodriguez and Dani Martinez to enter the breakaway on a sprint stage and openly criticized them afterwards when they didn't/weren't able to do so.
