Best placed rider in a break is Roland, over 19 minutes back.

There are some dangerous riders there though if they do a Pereiro here though. Rolland is closest, but you'd also be bringing Barguil right up there for Quintana, and allowing someone like Pinot back in would be silly for them.

Don't need to keep it this close but I'd say you'd want to keep that group under 10 mins at least.

JV don't ride much differently than Ineos usually does at the Tour, and that has most certainly worked.

Off course, they are racing hard, but it doesnt make sense they are racing hard. Theres literally no threat and if I was DS, I couldn't give a rats ass if 40 guys went off as long as they weren't dangerous.
