I only look at helmets, when two teams have close designs (like Trek and UAE).

But obviously, if the UCI instituted helmet rules to the effect I suggest, they should also implement rules to ensure against similar team jersey designs.

You don't get it. From some camera shots it's easier to recognise teams by helmets than by jerseys because you don't really see a jersey of a rider who sits in a middle of a group.

Would be awesome to have another mountain stage after the final TT. 4 big climbs, almost no flats. Then to Paris.

Thursday - Sunday; Mountain stage in the Vosges -> 50km TT in the northeast (somewhere between Strasbourg and Reims) -> COBBLED STAGE -> final stage from Compiegne to Paris.

There aren't enough clearly discernable colours for that.

8-9 (which is all you need, if the codes are the same for each team) is no problem at all.

20-25 is possible...... but after that, you get into so minute shade differences, that it becomes an exercise in futility.

A peloton of 200 is impossible to do individual colours for.

Yes I "get it" - I just disagree.

In moto shots from the front, I look at faces and shoulders before helmets.
In moto shots from behind, I look at numbers and jerseys, before helmets.

That is pretty much what we have today, though ofcourse a few teams use the same colour.

The point is not being able to tell teams apart, but being able to tell riders in the same team apart.

I want to be able to pick out individuals in teams, which can be hard at times today.

I read DMT is an Italian brand of shoes and are actually personally sponsoring Tadej, so not a UAE sponsor.

It's like in the NFL, when they time the fly over with the last tone of the national anthem - but that is usually just 1 plane, not a whole formation.
