Ya that's what I was thinking too. And if Sagan takes enough points to stay in green I wonder will Bora even bother trying to close the break later. It might be all down to LS to pace it with DQ and JV more worried about the GC menThe 'bonifications' are so early and easy in the stage that I doubt any break will go until they're dished out.

The organisers won't like it. Perhaps even less sprint finishes in the future? The problem is that france is flat in a lot of areas![]()
the other day I saw that over at UAE Aru has Italian National Champion sleeves, but Formolo not (yet), by the way. I guess they just didn't prepare his jersey on time?!Nice little detail on Viviani's sleeves; what do you do when you have a guy who's both former European Champion, and National Champion? Put on band on each sleeve! (No clue what Sagan does...)
And that had absolutely nothing to do with the stage, but even I gotta admit that... not much happening right now!
Not true at all. This is only happening today purely because of where the intermediate sprint is placed. After that has been dealt with, pretty much any muggings can go in the break if they so wish.At long last, we've reached the point where not a single team wants to bother with breakaways on sprint stages with only combativity points on the line. Things are broken.

If we really spend the whole day without a breakaway I'd honestly expect Prudhomme to tell Direct Energie and Vital Concept that they're not getting a wildcard next year if they aren't getting into these kinds of breakaways. As Dennis Ritter on Danish television pointed out; at some point organisers might tell the Wild Card teams to "Eeeh... guys! You're the breakaway guys. Go!"
(Still hoping that the guys doing the IS will just stay away if the get a gap.)
Sometimes that *** happens.Felt super confident that he'd win again this year?
There's a few things I've always wanted to happen in flat stages. No breakaway is one of them.
Other things include your usual French pro conti team insisting on putting entire team in breakaway, and or/ deliberately slowing down to snail pace as soon as break is established for MAXIMUM tv exposure.Yeah, you did say this the other day!
