Tour de France 2020 | Stage 5 (Gap - Privas, 183 km)

The almost-yearly visit to Gap and a slight drag to the finish bookend this transitional stage, which should see the third sprint in five days.

Start: 13:10
Intermediate sprint: 14:22/14:25/14:29
Col de Serre Colon: 16:09/16:15/16:17
Côte de Saint-Vincent-de-Barrès: 16:58/17:07/17:18
Finish: 17:18/17:29/17:41

Climbs
Very little of note, the organisers have chosen the easiest possible route to exit the Alps. For reference's sake, this is what the 'climb' on which the intermediate sprint looks like. The roads become a bit hillier as the stage goes on, but neither the Col de Serre Colon nor the Côte de Saint-Vincent-de-Barrès, the latter of which is inside the final 20k, should bother the sprinters much.

Finish
Much more technical than the previous stages, especially towards the end. The false-flat drags on until the flamme rouge, where the riders turn right on a roundabout. From here, it's essentially a series of (gentle) curves all the way until the finish line. There's another roundabout at 250 to go, but it has supposedly been flattened for the race. There should be a slight headwind in the final kilometer.

I just looked that roundabout up on google maps. That would be a big job to flatten that structure and landscaping, just for a bike race, and there are traffic islands coming in and going out.
