That would be Pinot. Anyway, the UCI have it in for Lefevere. That could have been a contributing factor.Very surprising that the jury dared to give the French chouchou a time punishment.

It was on camera, impossible to ignore it.Very surprising that the jury dared to give the French chouchou a time punishment.
He was actually quite well positioned 1 km or so before the finish, with his lead-out man right in front of him. I'm guessing he wanted to repeat the trick from stage 3 and come to the front late, but his legs may have been sapped this time because of the more demanding run in.He can only blame his team (he won't). Isn't Lotto-Soudal build around him??
Seriously, Wout Van Aert right now is a better version of the best version of Sagan.
Yates in yellow, I bet Mitchelton had not expected that.
Guess we'll see a pretty aggressive Alaphilippe tomorrow
And the day before, and before, lolGreat win. But the most crazy about it is that he could probably also have won yesteday.
He is way more like Cancellara.
I'd say a little closer to Cancellara than Boonen.Canc+Boonen hybrid.
Canc+Boonen hybrid.
Plus climbing ability.
Alaphilippe going balls out to get the jersey back would be pretty epic. Realistically though he should probably just focus on trying to get the stage win as that alone will be difficult enough.Yates in yellow, I bet Mitchelton had not expected that.

Cancellara has pulled a few monster turns himself in his day.Plus climbing ability. As I said in the other thread. He is nuts!

Sean Kelly then?
(I’m joking. At least I think I am.)
You are putting words in my mouth. I never said that the current version of GVA is Better than WVA. I just said that we have previously seen examples of riders who can do the same things or who have the same versatility. Maybe GVA is not the best example here, since his skillset has always been more skewed towards endurance than sprinting.Van Avermaet's biggest strength has always been his racing instinct though. That's what won him most of his biggest wins. I don't really think there is a single physical aspect right now where I would rate GVA higher than current WVA.
Sprint? WVA
Time Trial? WVA
climbing? WVA
explosiveness? WVA
De Vlaeminck? With a better TT and cross abilites
So much for Ala challenging Cancellara's record for most career yellow jerseys by a non-winner.
De Vlaeminck?
