It all depends whether Jumbo wants Kuss after Lucette or not. If yes, tempo will be high and not all-out and there will certainly be at least 10 guys over the top. If not, Kuss will destroy the field and then Rogla or Dumo will be launched somewhere near the top, or even after, and then we'll have a race.

I guess Jumbo DSs had a long night to figure out the correct order of the riders who will hit the front on Lusette.

I think it's kinda 50-50 whether it will be a break or not.

The best breakaway possibility is clearly Nicholas Roche. His climbing on Stages 2 and 4 was really surprisingly good and then he purposely dropped 7 minutes on Stage 5, which makes his intentions very clear for this stage.

If it's not a break though, the long drag to the finish suits a second tier contender who can escape late without the main GC guys being too worried.

Good so far. :D

You get the feeling JV do a bit too much, obviously on flying form but you need to pace it surely

Sky used to stick Richie and co in the grupetto and they would pop up as and when a big stage was in effect. The likes of Van Aert, talented though he might be, surely can't keep this up.

They're attacking for both today and yesterday.
Well, they were, seems to have settled by now.

Maybe, but Van Aert is a special phenom. Chaining him up in the grupetto would be criminal.

Very strong group. GvA is a problem for them with only 3min in GC. I guess Mitchelton wants to keep the jersey.

A few odd choices for a MT finish though
Really only Oss. While Cavagna and EBH and probably also GvA won't win, they already have shown that they can power through tough climbs and the last 15 km are rather false flat. But maybe some of them are also in there for tactical purpose (Oss and Cavagna) for the false flat if Buchmann or Alaphilippe wants to attack or need to be brought back after the climb.

If they are in there for other reasons I understand I more meant odd choices for a win

How is Yates still downplaying his focus on the GC? You don't send a team like Mitchelton-Scott to the TdF for just a couple of stage wins.
