The finale is really the most dangerous part. I do fear though that with most teams drastically reduced there will be less motivation to force echelons.

Don't think they can realistically go faster than they are now. There is still such a long way to go they can't just burn all their riders now.

Sure, giving up after the intermediate would be strange, especially since Sagan would probably be a legit threat for the stage win also in this group.
