Good be an absolutely explosive day in the race, with a thunderstorms alert in the area, a bit of rain and likely local high winds. Hoping for Ineos today, they should get into some action.

Also, the narrow tunnel at the end is just a disaster waiting to happen.

That might have been the dumbest starts I've ever seen. The peleton were completely lined out due to the narrowing at the roundabout and then be dropped the flag. Lads at the back had no shot.

Very glad they are showing these kinds of stages from the start. On days like this the first hour is often the most interesting part of the race, except for maybe the last 30 minutes (actually this is true for a lot of stages, including those in the high mountains).

They enter the Ardèche gorge soon, so Martin, Bilbao and company could still come back if the peloton doesn't want to go full gas all day.

It would be cool to have an attritional breakaway that's just whoever is left near the front after 50km.
