You should check out Stage 13 of 2013, or Stage 18 in 2012. And obviously you don't win monuments and green jerseys by being a one trick pony. But what a trick.

He's NO Eddy Mercx. How many GTs has he won? None and Never will. He's a Great sprinter period. How many Momuments has he won? One and One Worlds. Mercx won 11 GTs and 19 Monuments. Let that sink in.
The Disregard for the Greats the sport has seen over 100 years is discounted so much on this board. Must be a bunch of youngsters here :(

EDIT: And Eddy sure as heck didn't need 4 teammates nursing him in so he wouldn't be over the Time Limit every time the road went up. No OTL watches for Eddy.

You're reacting as people seriously mean it when they say he is the new Merckx. :p

Who said he's an Eddie? Of course, I was pulling your chain a little. I apologise. To a large extent, he is a one trick pony, but he certainly has more to his bow than a Kittel or a Bennett. I do find it utterly bizarre that only sprinters seem to have the one trick card played at them though. They're just riders who specialise in producing large amounts of watts on flat finishes. Puncheurs do the same on uphill finishes in terms of w/kg, but I never hear Alaphilippe getting accused. Rouleurs just produce watts over a long period of time, but Asgreen never gets the same treatment. Climbers just produce high ftp/kg. Again, Contador always got a pass. Weird.
