Change the champagne to vodka.Ineos to drill it as soon as the champers glasses start getting handed out.
Change the champagne to vodka.
They probably have better access to French vodka than they do Whiskey. Why?
Would this have something to do with Slovenia being aligned with Eastern Europe?![]()
Pogacar to pull a HinaultA random Bahrain rider to pull a Vino.
I'd be very happy for him if he were to say to the cameras this morning, "I gave it my best shot, but after 2 years it's obvious that my abilities are not coming back, so this stage is my last ." and then enjoy the first circuit. But it won't happen.Froome
8Have I counted correctly that only 7 teams have won a stage so far? Must surely be one of the lowest diversification in recent years?
Either way someone is becoming the new MerckxObviously Cav beating Merckx's record at Champs Elysees would be epic. OTOH if Van Aert somehow manages to win this sprint it will be absolutely spectacular (with him having already won the Ventoux stage and the final TT).
WvA to complete epic trio of stage wins. That would be truly legendary

You should check out Stage 13 of 2013, or Stage 18 in 2012. And obviously you don't win monuments and green jerseys by being a one trick pony. But what a trick.Well it sure won't be Mr One Trick Pony, I put my nose in the wind for 200meters fast. He should Bow to Merckx's greatness.
And when Wout wins 11GTs he may qualify.

You're reacting as people seriously mean it when they say he is the new Merckx. He's NO Eddy Mercx. How many GTs has he won? None and Never will. He's a Great sprinter period. How many Momuments has he won? One and One Worlds. Mercx won 11 GTs and 19 Monuments. Let that sink in.
The Disregard for the Greats the sport has seen over 100 years is discounted so much on this board. Must be a bunch of youngsters here![]()

And he has never claimed to be. Far from it.He's NO Eddy Mercx.
Who said he's an Eddie? Of course, I was pulling your chain a little. I apologise. To a large extent, he is a one trick pony, but he certainly has more to his bow than a Kittel or a Bennett. I do find it utterly bizarre that only sprinters seem to have the one trick card played at them though. They're just riders who specialise in producing large amounts of watts on flat finishes. Puncheurs do the same on uphill finishes in terms of w/kg, but I never hear Alaphilippe getting accused. Rouleurs just produce watts over a long period of time, but Asgreen never gets the same treatment. Climbers just produce high ftp/kg. Again, Contador always got a pass. Weird. He's NO Eddy Mercx. EDIT: And Eddy sure as heck didn't need 4 teammates nursing him in so he wouldn't be over the Time Limit every time the road went up. No OTL watches for Eddy.
