He is ALMOST great at everything, but not quite.

He is almost a great sprinter, but not quite.
He is almost a great TT rider, but not quite.
He is almost a great puncheur, but not quite.
He is almost a great climber, but not quite.

If this had been in the dirty old days, he would be winning GTs and Monuments
