The real least expected day is the day where everyone praises Movistar for their smart, aggressive tactics.

Still a good stage although it does feel like it could have been so much more. Kudos to all who lit it up, especially Mohoric with one of the rides of the year.

just as the commentators were talking about how intelligent carapaz was riding, he gets caught in the finish because he leaves his attack to 150 meters before the top of last climb ... truly 200 IQ

This stage was way more interesting than I expected.
I dreaded the péloton treating this one as a day off on the bike, because this is the best long transitional stage ASO have greenlit in years, so I was desperate for the race to develop well because, for once, ASO had done everything they could to entice the bunch to action. I am ecstatic that the stage delivered because ASO might learn from it.

Tbh I do think Pogacar was *** today. You don't watch Carapaz go when you don't have any of your own teammates left and go "this is great I'll just sit on my ass"

Wonder how long Roglic will stay in this race for. Seems a bit pointless to ride around here in pain, and if he's losing it here today, he'll lose tomorrow and Sunday.

Also, Hatch is an idiot for not understanding why he's isolated. He's done for, might as well protect Vingegaard who can potentially top 10.
