Shame the weather wasn't better.
It would've made the viewing pleasure complete.
Didn't affect the racing, though. On contrary.

Wonder how far O'Connor can get from here.

I remember going to Slovenia with my parents shortly after their independence, maybe it was '92 or '93, I especially remember the "Ljubljana Schnitzel" we ate in Ljubalana - it was a cordon bleu, but like half a finger thick slab of ham and an equally big chunk of emmentaler or some cheese - and we stayed in a hotel somewhere for a night: anyone who'd doubt Slovenia was Ostblock back then, doesn't know what they are talking about imo. :p

It was a little bit less strange than Poland and Slovakia (which we also travelled through), but it really wasn't like going on vacation to Germany or even Italy.

But Slovenija (then part of Jugoslavija) wasn’t ‘eastern block.’ It was never part of the Warsaw Pact.

Did Ineos think they were going to crack Pogacar or just riding in their race for second as if Pogacar is a ghost?

I thought it was pretty obvious they started riding to set up an attack for Carapaz on his podium rivals, but he didn’t look great Richie, maybe those wasted attacks last few days caught ip on him.

Interesting who gets podium now. I fancy Uran to make it.

What a ride by O'Connor. The Ineos tactic must be to give O'Connor a false sense of security. ............Seems more than a few teams don't figure he's a podium threat even though he was rated a solid top 10 chance before the start. He also rode well at the Dauphine. He has a nice gap over third place at the moment.

I guess Mr. O'Connor had a Chicken dinner a'la Padun variant 2005 with Pogacar being the equivalent of Armstrong. It would had been 2007 if he got yellow.

O'Connor has a big chance to make the podium now. Minutes ahead of next threat.
