Somebody mentioned that 2017 in Düsseldorf was the last time Roglič didn't win the opening ITT of a stage race (although he was 2nd and 3rd in prologues of Tour de Romandie in 2018 and 2019). Not many remember he was also the one who crashed in the rain in that ITT in Düsseldorf, because he wasn't a big name back then yet.

If rain is a factor, I'd imagine lots of the GC guys wont push it. I'd rather lose 20-30 seconds by taking it easier around corners than minutes by crashing.
