If this kind of result means Meintjes feels like he has a chance of a good GC, then the new and more interesting Meintjes of recent months will quickly be forgotten, a top 10 at the Tour is worth enough that he will be put under pressure to revert to the Louis Meintjes of old so as not to jeopardise that.
