Jonas Vingegaard does look strong..and also more comfortable than Pogacar uphill.
Could he have placed Pogacar on the last climb - and gained some seconds and perhaps held that with the downhill...maybe.. but it wouldn't make much sense, even with Van Aert being able to take the downhill.
it ain't on tricky downhills Jonas needs to chance it.. he looks strong as.. when going uphill and IMO the strongest in the peloton, and Jonas did it last year - where he also was able to place and distance Pogacar before a downhill on Mount Ventoux and took around 40 seconds to Pogacar, but lost it again on the downhill all alone, where Pogacar with others were able to close and here Van Aert were also in front and took a beautiful stagewin.
Jonas needs to concentrate on the uphill finishes in the coming days, not holding a small gain on a tricky downhill..
