As if Benoot pulling on that flat sections makes it more difficult for Pogacar to gain them. If they didn’t chase their the advantage could have grown with +1 minute.

Wout could have won the stage, and it wouldn’t have mattered much for Vingegaard vs. Pogacar the way I see it..

That was the other piece of the Vingegaard sportsmanship waiting for Pogacar after the crash ... he knew he was also waiting for Benoot and Kuss, huge insurance policy for Hautacam instead of a solo attack full out. Conservative move, but I think smart.
