in fairness Gall was very good today and finished with HindleyGall 9th. The hard work by AG2R pays off.
INEOS making a mistake by losing Rodriquez ...best GC hope they have ???
And Rodriquez was staggering after opening crash. What a race to watch.Great job by Yates. Pogs interview before stage was to survive. And he did. So glad to be able to see this battle. Pray for no stupid crashes. Glasses off of Pog adds something. Shows his face and concentration and pain. Great. Race.
lets wait for UAE complaintHe just lost one. Fact.
I actually agree. Pogacar is really not a great descender. I was never really aware before last year bit I noticed the same with Vingegaard having to correct the weird lines and it also explains why Rodriguez won eventhough Pogacar tried to reel him in.Maybe he could have, but I think it's a risk-reward consideration. Clearly he's a better descender than Pogacar though, you saw him sometimes having to correct Pogi's awkward lines. This was also obvious in last year's Tour.
If he's getting a bit more desperate and he really can't drop Pogi uphill he's probably going to try. He did try for a bit on the Tourmalet stage, for example.
Vinge had a massive assist. Fact.He just lost one. Fact.
Samu was never losing a sprint to Andy Schleck or Andreas Klöden until he suddenly did.Pog is never losing a sprint to Vingegaard.
Vingegaard had to slalom his way through morons showing their naked arse to the camera. I think they're about even in how they were handicapped on this climb. Are Vingo fans or whatever happy with the way the sprint at the top panned out? Or everything goes now?
If could sensibly argue that the moto/public had no bearing on the favourable 5s outcome I'll be happy to comply.
PS: you can't.
Apply for DS position.Pretty dumb from Pogacar at the end, instead of 7 sec gain, he lost 1, and how things stands, seconds could decide this Tour.
He wouldn't even be up there together with Poga and Vinge to begin with.Imagine if it was Remco. He would’ve Zidane’d these motorbikes.
Plus a further 2 seconds in his favour with the bonuses at the finish (10 minus 6, versus 6 minus 4)I still don't think the Tour will ultimately be decided by the bonus seconds but I think there was a very high probablility that Pogacar would've won it had he been allowed to continue with his attack. Instead of being 4 seconds behind on GC he is now 10. Not a huge difference but it could yet be a factor. It was a failure by the Motos in that instance.
Samu was never losing a sprint to Andy Schleck or Andreas Klöden until he suddenly did.
Pogacar and Vingegaard would have been sprinting for 5 and 2 seconds. He wouldn't even be up there together with Poga and Vinge to begin with.
