I still don't think the Tour will ultimately be decided by the bonus seconds but I think there was a very high probablility that Pogacar would've won it had he been allowed to continue with his attack. Instead of being 4 seconds behind on GC he is now 10. Not a huge difference but it could yet be a factor. It was a failure by the Motos in that instance.
I just hope its not those 6 seconds in the end.

Too much focus from the commentators here about the motorbikes allegedly blocking an attack from Pogacar. On a climb like this, the motorbikes and the crowd are part of the race and the whole situation - it's something the riders need to take into account, it's not just a backdrop.

Hmm, Jumbo paced all day just to be outnumbered by UAE in the end.

Pogacar was good but did not appear imperious today. I thought he had Vingo, but the stamina to keep going just was not there. So Perhaps Jumbo will still conclude this is the way, and perhaps they are right.

Vingo appears solid, so the question is whether Pogi is on a form upswing or whether the relative lack of base comes to bite him in the back in the third week.
Yes, Jonas is more of a diesel and Pogi is more of a race car, but the difference is not that great. But both are both, if you know what I mean.

All the people saying yesterday all that work by UAE for 8 seconds... wonder what they're thinking today about all of this for 1 second, on what was supposed to be a "Vingegaard stage".

It is true in a way. But seconds were Pogis for the taking and he blew it (with a help from motos).

Maybe he could have, but I think it's a risk-reward consideration. Clearly he's a better descender than Pogacar though, you saw him sometimes having to correct Pogi's awkward lines. This was also obvious in last year's Tour.

If he's getting a bit more desperate and he really can't drop Pogi uphill he's probably going to try. He did try for a bit on the Tourmalet stage, for example.
Vingegaard played his strategy much better today than yesterday. He wasn't caught out of position when Pogacar attacked and rode sensibly after Kuss kept the lid on UAE and finished well himself. Yesterday both JV guys were badly positioned to respond to Tadej's attack and today I was yelling at Jonas to get off the front position as they approached the time bonus summit. He did and won that critical challenge. The bonus was Carlos Rodriguez becoming the finish spoiler and forcing Tadej to chase hard to claim bonus time.
This is still a 3 week race. IMO Pogacar showed his limits and went deep; tomorrow could lead to more serious separation and the advantage is tipping Jonas' way. Fun and well fought by everyone.
Special kudos to Kuss for moving up to 6th by grinding the field to bits. Class act!

All that work by Jumbo to gain 1 sec and third on the stage. First UAE and now Jumbo are wasting their energy for what?

Exactly. Teddy attacked way too early in the first place, then got caught napping.
It's his own *** up and I dont wanna hear any crying about motos.
ONly people on this thread will, i doubt teddy is gonna complain about it.

And then not letting Adam cruise in for 2nd was another dumb move

Today was supposed to be a stage where Vingegaard kills Pogacar on the long steep climbs but if anything Pogacar was slightly stronger. First two weeks have shown there’s hardly anything to split them. Maybe it will come down to who recovers better for the last week. It would be amazing if it’s all to play for on that lovely looking stage 20.

Vinge almost crashed twice during that descent, the guy sure knows how to descent.

If this were to happen to Roglic you’d be fighting every moto rider and fan.
