Mørkøv has been elevated to rank of sprinter on QS, but - as someone on Danish Tv2 so eloquently put it - "Michael Mørkøv lacks a Michael Mørkøv to do the leadout for Michael Mørkøv."
I still wouldn't be surprised to see some of the other QS riders in the break.

tbh I am more worried about Mørkøv not having the top speed, fairly confident he can read the race and find a good wheel.

Nah, teams are dumb so all the teams with a sprinter will think they can win. GC teams will be like we've got to protect our top 20 place and then others will be like stage 19 is a better shot, and then a ton are just going to be so tired they don't want to.

I reckon we get maybe Arkea, Lotto and Quick Step in the break.

yeah, tomorrow seems a better bet for break aways, even if it isn't the best.

His work here is done it seems. Would be terrible to miss the birth of his child, even more so when the race is pretty much done and dusted, If Pogi takes back the deficit* there won't be anything that Wout could do about it.
He missed out on a stage win, but yeah, it is what it is, he'll win 3 next year.

*not realistic I know.

I agree 100%.

Though, when his career is at an end, it probably will not be judged differently because he won one GW fewer than he did. But in the context of this season, it sure would have been much better to take it.

I'm glad WvA stays at home. He wasn't in my phantasy team and he was scoring too many points!

Joking aside, I hope (but with a newborn that's probably not realistic) this will slow him down a little in terms of overtraining for the World's. I hope (very much unrealistic) he gets more rest now in the coming weeks so he has some kind of supercompensation (also to make up for the loss in testosteron )

Voeckler would have got away with stopping Jonas but he also held up Thibaut Pinot who was just about to.........
