Not even a single GC move on Petit-Ballon.
Feels a bit like the set up for a kind of a reverse version of Gavia 2010, where everybody was dreaming of Arroyo going on a descent escapade but in the end the GC battle was tame, a small gap for the break somehow was allowed to survive, and a retiring hero was on a final escapade only to be heartbroken in his quest for a final career highlight by an unexpected and previously somewhat unheralded rider while the GPM ended in a damp squib and the winner was a GC irrelevance who got dropped as soon as the real climbing started on that final GC stage.

Keldermann took like 10 seconds off the lead, not nice.

Now Pidcock needs to remember, that if he catches Pinot, his task is to pace him as he can to make the miracle possible.
