The steep part takes 38’-39’. 4 minutes should be enough.
Yeah, but why Jumbo didn´t let Bora lead the GC group in the Aspin, so the gap would have been 5 minutes without van Aert have to work in the front group. Than go full gas on the tourmalet. Van Aert waits on the top to lead Vingegaard who attaked earlier..

Don´t understand why Jumbo and van Aert worked at the same time...

Maybe Bora would go harder. By taking the front, they are in control. Now Bora took over again, so I think Laporte managed to slow the peloton down.

Feel like this is the 2nd time vdP is doing what hes doing almost exclusively to help van Aert. First time was last year when they both attacked from the start and vdP later DNF'ed the stage. Maybe im just reading too much into it but i dont care cause I love seeing it

With how all this is playing out, I'd be surprised if Vingegaard doesn't lead the Tour with at least 1 minute on Hindley and 3 on Pogacar. Should be simple from here for Jumbo, Wout and Jonas.
I think people underestimate Pogacar. Hindley is also underestimated don´t count him out, take into consideration the stage races he has won.. its not some "lucky punch" we are talking about.
