The reason why Bora has paced all day - Van Aert is a big threat, because if Vingegaard drops everyone, Wout can help on the top of Tourmalet, the valley and the false flat.
looks like its working out. not sure how the gap has increased by a minute though with all the riding behind

Look at that, all 7 Jumbo leading the peloton, they have not lost a single guy yet, Vingegaard is smiling, and they look like they are starting to prime the attack now :p

As much as I'd like people to underestimate Pogacar, I think we really just have no clue (yet) as to how out of it he is. In the end he did 2 days of racing since the crash, so he could be just rusty. But his form could also simply have major dent still.

But we will know much more soon.
True. It could also end with him being totaly left out. I hope he is not in a bad shape, because that would make the tour less rich.

Pogacar was still clearly stronger than riders like Yates x2, Gaudu, Rodriguez, Skjelmose etc, so even if he’s getting dropped by Vingegaard I don’t think he will completely collapse.

When you start with Laporte and NvH youre not gonna start super fast cause the rouleurs fry immediately amd your climbers have to pull too long
