So this is where Rogla is going to win his first TdF huh

Not bad, not bad. Road bike or ITT bike, i.e. that's the interesting question.

60 km of ITT isn’t that bad in my opinion, but it probably would’ve been better if both ITTs were flattish?

It doesn’t matter much next year as all contenders are great TTers.

Good first week. While the Grand Depart was already known, it's worth stressing.

I hope the gravel stage will be a success, like the ones we see in Toscana, and not too riddled by punctures like in Paris - Tours.

the images of the region they showed during the presentation actually seems to be quite rough. Lot of stones.

If I were Remco, I'd be on the phone complaining! Where's the Remco flavour?! Remco to the Giro and feet up on Chesterfield until the Olympics. Not that that would happen as all of Belgium wants Remco at the Tour (including Remco himself, I think).

It seems quite good, I think. When they showed the map, I thought that there would be too many flat stages in a row but with a TT (which I of course could have known about if I had read a little of the rumours) and a gravel stage to break the monotony, I won't complain. The Le Lioran stage also looks quite hard so it's not all bad before we reach the Pyrenees.

I don't love finishing with an ITT but there is a chance I'll be in Nice at the time so I guess that will be quite an enjoyable day out. Also, that part of course isn't news, and there have admittedly been some quite spectacular late TTs (Tour 2020 and Giro 2023) lately, and I don't imagine it would act as a showstopper like Lussari, so it probably isn't too bad.

If they avoid track stands, we should see new climbing records on all the climbs, but it will depend a lot on whether they'll go full gas on Plateau de Beille.

Can't really judge it personally before I know how "flat" those flat stages actually are. And I'm assuming we'll have to wait a while before we'll have those profiles (hard to see on the mini profiles).

I also think lots of riders will end this Tour early given all the last stages are for climbers and the Olympics are after the Tour.

I think we have 7 certain bunch sprints (stage 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 13 & 16), 2 of those with potential for crosswinds. In addition, stage 9, 12 & 18 could also be bunch sprints. Maybe stage 1 will be a very reduced bunch sprint.

I don't know, many riders are quite adamant in finishing the Tour if they can, and it's not like there are that many riders who will do the Olympics anyway with that tiny peloton we will see there. There might of course be a few but I doubt it would be "lots".

Stage 4 looks like a stage where a break will win with a couple of minutes and we’ll have a non-GC contender leading the Tour until stage 9 or stage 14.

Maybe Leknessund can do it again as he did in the Giro this year?

Not only do we need poorly constructed offroad sections but we should have a few stages at night too like they do in the cricket, riding in the dark is a part of cycling skill and it's heritage. Maybe we could get the Luftwaffe in to drop a few payloads as they're riding around too for old times sake.
