Think there's something wrong in your gif links, only by clicking reply I can actually see this (?)

But seems Visma just in time found their motor :)

Hm let's try again

again, Pederson is NOT winning a mountain stage
Yea, looking at the stage again and with the yellow up for grabs my initial "70-80 riders in a sprint" scenario is probably too negative. Still think WVA will be there to contend in a sprint though as I don't think there will be a lot of GC action

Watch out. COVID could take out half of the peloton within two weeks of this tour. There’s a load of it going about. The fact that Pogacar has already had it and Kuss is out because of it are early indicators. Pogacar won’t be immune to its effects either, it’s a real energy sapper even after getting over the main symptoms.

Visma brought some Wuhan bats for Pog and his team mates. They will escape somehow into their bus and no one will quite understands how. Just like the real covid story, no one will be blamed for anything but everyone knows with saying it out loud.

They’re better and more proven GC riders. No reason to be unhappy. If he wants to lead the team in GC at a GT he can start somewhere else or not crumble during the Tour.
Pidders has made no secret that he intends to win the Tour someday. And he's not the most biddable rider in the peloton. Could be interesting.
